How to evaluate a corporate Safety Day in Szczecin

Attendance and photographs do not show what people learned. Set two or three aims before the event: recognising when to leave, knowing whom to call or coordinating an incident report.

Observe tasks, not people

An instructor can note which decisions needed explanation without ranking staff. Findings should concern the programme: clarity, time to repeat and appropriate group size.

Ask about usefulness

Two questions are enough: what could you apply at work and what would you practise again? Short anonymous answers can help the organiser choose a follow-up course for a department.

Make a small change

If people do not know whom to notify, clarify company procedures. If team communication is difficult, plan another scenario. The event then becomes the start of ongoing safety work.

Compare plan with reality

Afterwards, compare planned slots with attendance. Did participants have time to repeat exercises? Did queues build? If one station drew most questions, it may deserve a separate course. A report should describe observations and possible actions rather than label individual employees. Different departments may need different follow-up. Separate programme, procedure and logistics findings in a short organiser summary.
