Outdoor corporate event in Szczecin: a rain plan

Weather can change the layout of an event quickly. Design stations from the outset so they can move to a room. This is particularly important for movement and small-group conversation.

Two layouts, one objective

Outdoors, mark a practice area and a separate queue. Indoors, shorten the route and reduce the group size while keeping the objective: an exit, distance and asking for help. Never move an exercise to a slippery surface or cramped corridor unchanged.

Decide before starting

Agree who chooses the weather option and when. Allow time to move stations, signpost the new area and tell guests. A clear update includes the location and revised hours.

Check comfort

A roof alone is not enough. Consider ventilation, nearby noise and accessibility. Share both possible spaces when enquiring about a Szczecin event.

Coordinate with the venue

Check whether the backup room is reserved throughout the event, who has keys and whether equipment can move there safely. If the room is smaller, prepare a lower group capacity. Name one person to inform instructors, venue staff and guests when the location changes. Walk the route to the room and check accessibility in advance. A rain plan should be part of the main plan rather than an improvised search for space.
